Teresa Marie Roy
Teresa is a Registered Nurse and Advanced Foot Care Nurse, specializing in Gerontological Nursing. Teresa obtained her certificate in Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care and completed her clinical placement with a Chiropodist before hired on as an Advanced Foot Care Nurse.
Throughout her career, Teresa has worked in hospital, long-term care and in the community as a home-visit nurse. She also had the unique opportunity to work for the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) to support the implementation of best practices in long-term care.
Through her professional and personal experiences in health care, Teresa discovered her passion for providing patient-centred, evidence-based care. Operating her own foot care practice allows Teresa to take her passion for high quality care to a new level, as she strives to achieve excellence in optimizing patient experience and foot health outcomes.
Teresa lives on a hobby farm in South West Ottawa with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, long walks with her dogs and reading.
